Impact Centre

at the University of Toronto

The Impact Centre is a cross-disciplinary R&D institute dedicated to creating value to society based on university research excellence in the natural sciences. We operate at the nexus of chemistry, physics, biology, engineering, materials science, nanotechnology and photonics, and are supported by world-leading faculty members, spanning various units at the University of Toronto.

What is the “physical sciences” sector? When people think of innovation, they think of internet and mobile, or perhaps drugs. Yet the biggest part of our life is about the “physical world” – the clothes we wear, the light, the paint, the cars… innovation in this sector means a better quality of life.
