Use your knowledge, skills and passion to impact society
Igniting Impact enables University of Toronto students to use their education, skillsets, and drive to build a for-profit or not-for-profit startup company that solves a real-world problem. Whether you have no idea what you want to do or the beginnings of a startup idea, attending our workshop will help you develop or refine your thoughts before you jump into starting an actual company.
At Igniting Impact workshops, Impact Centre mentors work with students to identify what problems are aligned with their knowledge and passions then attempt to develop solid ideas for technological and business solutions for those issues. The event culminates with a pitch event where finalists are given an opportunity to share their ideas and compete for a cash prize to jumpstart their venture.
