This March 15, join us for a special International Women’s Day edition of MaRS Mornings — this time featuring A&S Alumna, Amanda Hall, CEO of Summit Nanotech, and winner of the $1-million Women in Cleantech Challenge.

Hall will be in conversation with Dr. Zayna Khayat, vice president of client success and growth at Teladoc Health. Together, they’ll discuss some of the most pressing topics facing women in tech today, and share their experiences navigating sectors traditionally dominated by men.

 

About the Speakers

Amanda Hall, CEO, Summit Nanotech

As a professional geophysicist and former laboratory scientist with more than 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Hall leads with a commitment to develop solutions that have positive effects on the planet. She has garnered multiple industry awards, such as ranking in NACO’s list of Most Promising Startups in Canada.

Summit Nanotech is a Calgary-based company focused on producing green lithium by using applications of nanotechnology to optimize industrial processes in the mining sector.

Zayna Khayat, vice president, client success and growth, Teladoc Health

Along with her work at Teledoc Health, Khayat is a faculty member of Singularity University’s Exponential Medicine stream, and is an adjunct faculty member in the Health Sector Strategy stream at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. She was previously the lead of health system innovation at MaRS. In 2017, she was seconded to the REshape Center at Radboud university medical centre in the Netherlands.
